Happy Factory Building named after Rotarian

The Happy Factory has announced that the Happy Factory building will be named after Rotarian Dr. Lansing Ellsworth.

When Dr. Ellsworth learned that the Happy Factory could not be open in the evenings, he first suggested that the Happy Factory acquire their own building. This was the first time that the Cooley's had ever considered raising money and acquiring their own building. Motivated by Dr. Ellsworth's suggestion, the Board of Trustees began the fundraising campaign that resulted in the Happy Factory building their own building. At that time Dr. Ellsworth was a scoutmaster and was using the Happy Factory space for his meetings.

He called the Happy Factory "A Place Where Service is Taught & Given."

THe plaque will read as follows:

                               Dr. Lansing Ellsworth Building
                            A Place Service is Taught & Given

Lyn Ann Ellsworth will be presented with the plaque at the Happy Factory Gala on Thursday October 9th.

The placement of the plaque on the building will be announced at a later date.
